Having numerous interests, and inclination to pursue the many leisure pursuits over the years, right from my school and college years till now, I have grown in skill and have acquired a knowledgeable know how of various activities and interests, some of which I am sharing with you, for putting up all the many interests I have, I will have to launch one website alone for my hobbies. My library of books is vast. Some books and magazines are old issues, not to be seen on our bookshelves anymore, rare and very precious to me. 

So, instead of holding on to them selfishly, I thought why not share some of the designs and patterns with people having similar interests. Thus came the idea of having a hobby center on my website. I would welcome emails and exchange of ideas from you, so that the link of friendship continues to grow. I would also welcome comments and rectifications if I have commented wrongly.

Under each hobby I have first given a brief history or origin of that craft, if I have had the sources to do so, to make it an interesting reading for those who are interested in knowing more about their hobby, and to begin with each section, I have begun with patterns and instructions for beginners, as I had experienced myself when I wanted to know about a hobby or learn a new one, very little information was available for the beginners.

And I hope that many viewers of my website will be youngsters who would like to know and learn. The books and magazines as I have seen generally give information for those who already are well versed with the craft and needlework techniques. Enjoy this section ‘Hobby Center’ as much as I have putting it together.
